Very last minute we decided to take the car upstate over the Labor Day weekend.
A local couple have opened up a hotel in Tannersville together with an interior designer from CA. Beautiful place, Hotel Lilien. I think we came up round the first week they were open. The entire hotel looks like it's picked from an interior magazine. We did not stay in the main building. Judging of the photos our room might have been less personal, but still beautiful. We stayed in the house next to the main building (the Deck Rooms) because we needed an extra bedroom for the kids. The owners was also kind enough to lend us their pack and play for Hugo. Big Kudos!

The first day the weather was still nice. We tried the pool and did some hiking to Kaaterskill Falls. After hike it was time fore lunch at
Phoenicia Diner. We also stopped for ice cream in Tannersville at
Mama's boy burgers and swam in the pool. We had dinner in Tannersville also at
Tabla. It was ok, but not great.

Day 2, Sunday. We started off the day in Kingston with playground and lunch at Kinsley Hotel. I love the interior at the restaurant and the food is good to. The service however is always chaotic. After that we looked at the part of Kingston that by the water. They held an Irish festival there that day.

In the afternoon we wanted to come back to Woodstock! It was nice and we had ice cream at
Sweet dreams organic ice cream :) This is when the crazy rain started. I really rained a lot. We has to change in the car before dinner.

Dinner was at
Silvia. Some of you might remember us going upstate last year before H. We rented a house in Woodstock over the Memorial Day weekend. We love this area. So many quaint little villages! Ok, back to Silvia. Cozy stylish place with great food and killer cocktails. This time with 2 kids. Slightly less peaceful. If you are find yourself in the area, or plan on going. Book a table!

We left for home early the next day. To beat the traffic, but also because it was raining like crazy. Thank you for this time upstate New York. See you soon again!
