Fäviken Magasinet

Efter en ganska lång färd i taxi, tillsynes bort från civilisationen, anlända vi till Fäviken Magasinet. Vi erbjöds att slå oss ner för att ta oss något att dricka före maten. Vi satte oss ute i solen, i stolar klädda med fårskinn, med bord gjorda av björkstubbar och drack champagne.  När vi som bäst satt och smuttade på vår dryck och njöt av den fina utsikten så kom kvällens första mat in. Det var tilltugg till drycken i form av svensk charkbricka. Beståendes av svensk cognac medwurst och picklade majrovor. Vyn från min stol kändes nästan lite vildavästern inspirerad. Man väntade bara på att det skulle rida förbi några cowboys utanför staketet. Så var det dags att gå in och vi blev placerade på nedervåningen i en liten soffgrupp framför braskaminen. Vi delade sittgrupp med ett par från London, men där kvinnan i paret egentligen kom från Australien. Labor Day weekend 2022

 Very last minute we decided to take the car upstate over the Labor Day weekend.  A local couple have opened up a hotel in Tannersville together with an interior designer from CA. Beautiful place, Hotel Lilien . I think we came up round the first week they were open. The entire hotel looks like it's picked from an interior magazine. We did not stay in the main building. Judging of the photos our room might have been less personal, but still beautiful. We stayed in the house next to the main building (the Deck Rooms) because we needed an extra bedroom for the kids. The owners was also kind enough to lend us their pack and play for Hugo.
